Mitten is trying to score points to earn his #1 spot in the ear-thwapping line and poor Randy fell into his trap :D

I'm not even sure if I can make it up there this time so I don't think I'm the one who should be making recommendations for food ;) I say "Bring what you feel like eating" :D Make a decision and run with it, it's food, it will get eaten :eyebrow:

If you don't show up, I'll round up a posse, then we'll come get yer little bunny butt! :mooner:

Hi, everyone! Rod and I have the weekend cleared to attend the M&G (well, Saturday, anyways)... but, there's nobody to watch the kiddos. So, unless we can find childcare, I think we'll have to shoot for the spring M&G.

I'm still trying though! I know some of you, but there's lots more I'd like to meet! :)

Looks like I may be able to get up there on Sunday. Bring your posse :D They can help get the bridge in so I can leave earlier :eyebrow:

Maybe you could take them to my sister's mother-in-laws house, she's in Columbus OH though. She's always watching random kids, had 17 pre-schoolers at her house Saturday because a friend of someone she works with doesn't have a yard and needed a place for a birthday party.

Thank you for the offer, but Columbus is about 3 1/2 hours from us, then up to Gilboa from there... timewise, it just wouldn't be do-able. I do appreciate the thought though.

I've actually considered bringing them... they're 7 and 9 (almost 8 and 10 ;))... and well behaved. Do you think anyone would mind? Keep in mind that they did grow up around a firehouse, so language and such isn't that big of a deal, if you know what I mean. Rod and I would switch off diving with others, so one of us was always with the kiddos.

Whatcha think? I really wanna get up to Gilboa again before the end of summer. Rod has never been there. Also, Rod gets on the PD, his diving is done for a while... he'll have the academy to go thru and not much down time at all.

Does anyone object?

I was actually going to ask why you don't just bring them? I've seen plenty of kids running around Gilboa. I can only speak for myself, but it wouldn't bother me any. Heck, if they become unruly, it's your issue to deal with anyway, not ours! :D

Thanks, Jim! You know... the more I think of it, the more I think we just might! Rod even got another official to cover his games on Saturday, so his schedule is clear (for once during the soccer season!). "Unruly" won't be a problem... ;)

I wasn't thinking about unruly, I was thinking more along the lines of expensive LOL! You have to pay admission for each per day plus camping (per head if doing that) and fill out a complete liability waiver for each one.

The website says $6 a day for non-divers. Waiver is no biggie. We'll only be there for Saturday. We're not gonna kennel the dogs. ;)

Thanks for the thoughts! Hey... I'll get to meet you! Finally!

Ummm, I probably can't get up there until Sunday. We're building a bridge for my in-laws that weekend and I'm hoping to get done in time to go up Saturday night or Sunday morning.

You could bring the dogs, come out and help us build the bridge on Saturday then maybe I could get Bruce to watch all the dogs while we go dive :eyebrow: You could pick them up on the way home Sunday, it's on the way if you take I-70 :D
