Greetings fellow GLWC divers Gilboa is once again open water!
We received a call from Mike last night and a message from Don an face book!
Visibility was really good considering the storms that blew through last night and today.
The run in made it a little cloudy around the docks but after about 20' or 30' it was really good. The tubes were amazing vis, did two dives and got cold on dive two but discovered DS inflator had a leak. BRRRRRRRRR! Dry cloths never felt so good!
Shared the dive with good buddy Clyde and lunch at the Red Pig! Awesome day that has been long anticipated! I love diving right after ice, everything looks fresh and unscathed. Did not see Fred, fear that the fox may have claimed him for dinner!
Computer says the temps were 39º max depth of 86'. Just a pleasure dive that the vis below 30' was incredible!
Safe diving all and meet you at the quarry!
CamG Keep diving....keep training....keep learning!

Sounds great can't wait to get wet I live about 40min. away from Gilboa! Thanks for info

Lucky you.

I've been wanting to dive at Gilboa for a while now, it sounds like an incredible place.
Unfortunately, my dive buddy lives in Peoria, iL and is not keen on driving 7hrs to dive in a quarry. I would like to visit Gilboa on the second or third weekend of April if there is anyone interested in diving with me. I'm AOW and dive double AL80s, drysuit etc. 80% of my almost 100 dives have been in cold midwestern waters.
If anyone is interested in buddying up for that weekend, please let me know.

Thanks for the invite, I think I'll see you there.

I will be making my first trip to Gilboa - diving May 22-23. I am very much looking forward to it.

Well, looks like my wife had already made plans for me April 23rd weekend, so I won't be able to be there, however, I do have April 10th weekend open and would like to go to Gilboa then.
I just need to make sure I'll have somebody to buddy up with.
Anyone going to be at Gilboa April 10th that I can buddy up with?

I'm not sure where but I will be diving with my little bro at Haigh, White Star, or Gilboa that weekend depending upon his willingness to travel ( I have his gear).
