Getting trim pockets to fit

I have the HOG Total Buoyancy Control System BPW. I want to add trim pockets to the top cam band, but just can't seem to get them to fit well with the available room on the strap. The pocket on the side with the buckle seems ok. However, the strap partially extends over the other one. That doesn't seem good to me. Do you have any suggestions?

That's one of the options I considered. The only thing is that then there would only be about 2 inches of Velcro holding down the strap. I'm worried that might not be enough.

If not, then an inch of inner tube would solve that problem. The cam action is what holds the buckle closed. The Velcro is simply to keep the tail from getting caught/pulled.

The Cam buckle is what holds the tension on the strap.

The Velcro is just there to keep the excess strap tidy.

This is the technique I use. I completely removed the strip with the hooks when the strip became old, the threads came undone, and the strip with the hooks was flopping around. It's much easier now to thread the bands into and out of the single-tank adapter, which makes taking things apart and reassembly for traveling so much easier.

That's brilliant! That's exactly what I will do.

I had a similar issue with the two cam straps. All I did was to remove the top strap, flip it over and reinstall so now each cam buckle closes in the opposite direction.

Edit: Obviously this only works if you are OK having one pocket on the upper strap and the other on the lower.

You really should remove that blue netting.

If I put both trim pouches on the top band I become head heavy. So I flip the cam bands to one another and put the trim pouches to opposite sides tucked in low and tight.

If you want or need them on the top band you could remove that last section of hook and then tuck the tag end under the trim pouch or make a inner tube keeper as suggested or both.
