Amy and Jen. Really the best way is to pay for the course and then get the job, there really is no such thing as a free lunch or DM course, unless you REALLY, REALLY have done your homework or know the instructor personally.

I have seen it go bad quite a few times so be careful.
 
As far as working in tropical climes as a DM there is one thing to remember. Most boat operators want their dive leaders to be "instructor" quality rather than entry level divemasters.
 
Hi Amy, you read my mind... hehehe. I think my time is a bit limited and as I want freedom to enjoy my diving I am going to pay for the courses in oz and perhaps pick up some casual work around the world.. we'll see.. of course I am very eager to hear from people working, or who have worked on dive boats around the world as I'm sure Amy is... hehe, cheers everyone:palmtree: :bfish:
