Enrique, I think you will find more differences in technical agencies than in recreational agencies, in terms of how the curriculum is organized and divided, and in terms of where in the curriculum the use of helium is introduced.

BTW, you don't have to go through a lot of trial and error in technical gear, if you don't want to. I put together my gear for single tank Fundamentals, and the only things I did for doubles was buy a set of doubles regs (and I still have them) and a doubles wing (which I'm still using). Everything else I had made the transition without issues.
 
Does the Hollis HTS 2 have a place in this discussion? It can convert to a twin tank system and may have some features that some who are not totally sold on the spartan style hog web system can live with. I don't own on of these, but the potential expandability of the HTS 2 from a single tank to a double plate system seems like there's potential for growth with in the system.

Any thoughts?

It's just another alternative to backplate/harness. I put it into the comfort/deluxe style of harness...most wing manufacturers offer an option like that.

IMHO, it's an expensive solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
