Getting Around Cancun

We are arriving in Cancun in June and I was considering using the bus system too get around the hotel zone. Can anyone tell me if the local bus allows you to carry your luggage to get to the hotel after arriving the airport, or would I have to get a private transportation?

Second Questions, Where do I get the local bus at the airport?

When I go down I usually get transportation from the airport to the resort. I use Thomas Moore most of the time, and it's like $15 to $20 bucks. As far as moving around the Hotel Zone, buses are great, although watch the time of day. It is by far the least expensive means.

You can take bags on the local bus. It will be a bit crowded though. It might be easier to take one of the shuttles to the Hotel Zone. I think it's 14USD.

Public transport does not run all the way to the airport. you would have to take a taxi($$$$$), colectivo (shared van $$$), or take a bus to downtown, then another bus from the downtown station to the hotel... your best bet would be a colectivo. usually runs about $200 pesos (if memory serves) from the airport to the hotel zone, while a taxi will charge you in excess of $500.

Hey bro, my mom is in town, she leaves sun. so next week maybe we can brew it....we can let ben know.....

Like it has been said before, the bus from airport gets you downtown then you would have to walk a couple blocks and get another bus to your hotel.....it is best to get a ride from airport not a private taxi but the normal transport directly, hope you have fun and thanks for coming
