Getting a zipper installed?

Hi, all,

I'm looking to get a zipper installed into a hooded vest. What's the best way to go about that? Can my local tailor do it? Are there services where I can send my gear to have it done?

Some of the custom houses will take on repair/modify jobs.

Not to derail your pursuit but if the problem is getting out of the vest were you taught how?

Would probably cost almost as much as buying a new one. Unless you DIY!

Many people use baby shampoo in a spray bottle to help them get in. Out is a matter of rolling it off. Proper fit is important.

@spectrum, maybe I don't know how to get out of it. I want the zipper because I get stuck in the thing. Suggestions?
