I have a Gekko Suunto dive computer that activates when I hit the water, but does not go into dive mode when upon decent. I tried going manually into dive mode, but it doesn't register any depth. I tried replacing the battery although the old battery registered fine. I took a look at the contacts and they are all clean, unblocked, and corrosion free. Any guesses? Do any have any experience dealing with Gekko and their repair services?:idk:

Did you "bend" the Gekko? If so, it will be useless for 48hrs.

There was a problem with some Gekko's (and other Suunto model) computers. Evidently Suunto received a bunch of bad depth sensors from their supplier and they're now failing. I think you have to take it in to be repaired/replaced. I believe most Aqualung Dealers also handle Suunto.
