sdwho, how would you compare the diving to the other places you've dove?

Every place is different, so comparisons are hard. Little Cayman has comparable life, but Bloody Bay wall is an experience every diver should check out imo. The viz in LC typically has been awesome (although no guarantees, of course). I haven't been back to Cozumel since the hurricanes and have heard varying reports of the impact of the storms. The fish life in Coz always has seemed a bit "larger" than in GC. Its drift diving in Coz, so that's also different. Turks and Caicos also is somewhat similar to GC in terms of the types of things you see, although you're much more likely to see sharks in T&C than GC, at least that's been our experience. Time of year can be a factor, of course. I've never seen juveniles the way I have at Turtle Reef in GC, but my diving in T&C has been from the Aggressor, not shore diving. Pacific diving (Palau, Yap, Kona) obviously differs from Caribbean diving: differerent fish, critters, corals, etc.

I've been pretty lucky, i guess. I don't think I've had a 'bad' diving trip (although I've had dives that were better than some and worse than some). Even Key Largo turned out to be a surprisingly good dive location and I'd go back in an instant. Next up-- probably Fiji!!

I realize all dive sites are different but I wanted to get an impression of how you rated it, which I sense is good. Since you've returned several times, you must really like it? I'm just getting a bit worn out with all the travel hassels and then such an early dive time. 7:30 is just an hour earlier than I want to deal with. What ever happened to the relaxed mode?

Thanks for the info.

I'm not a morning person but never had any problem with Divetech schedule. Probably because I tend to crash early when diving so no problem getting up to dive. If I was one to stay up late partying then it would probably be an issue.
