Hi all,

My husband's T1 is leaking air and (I'm not sure if it's related) not connecting very well with the dive computer.
I seem to remember someone saying that the o-ring should be removed (the one visible below) if the transmitter is connected to an extension hose for seal. The o-ring doesn't seem to have any obvious damage. Wanted to see if I am dreaming things up or if it's indeed the case.

Thank you!

If attaching the transmitter to a hose, then the o-ring you mentioned is not needed. A spool, however would be needed. Then the seal is formed by the o-rings on the spool. IIRC, the Garmin T1 uses a unique spool for this.

Is it leaking near this connection?

Thank you. It turns out that one of the o-rings on the spool was a bit dodgy. I've replaced it with the one from the flow restrictor and it seems to be working fine.
