Galileo Luna screen blanking

I have a Galileo Luna that I purchased in June of this year. We just got back from a week in Belize and I noticed that several times during the 11 dives the screen would blank for about 1 second. Is this normal or an issue I need to get addressed?

Yes, it's normal and is described somewhere in the manual.

OK thanks. I did flip through the manual again and must have just blanked out when I came to that section.

My Galileo came with a blue card that has a paragraph about Screen Regeneration:
During a dive the screen of the Galileo regenerates approx every 5 minutes to ensure that the dot matrix display is always updated. During a refresh the screen will be blank for half a second. This is absolutely normal.
