I put up a couple of articles on my website pulled from a 7 page PDF I send clients called Galapagos Prep for Diving. Thought some of you heading that way might be interested in this practical read.

The article "Galapagos Flights" covers arrival to Ecuador, check-in for Galapagos process, why you probably don't want to fly LAN if you're going on a liveaboard and what to do if you are, and, of course, weight limitations.

The article "Galapagos Dive Info & Gear Recommendations" covers most of the minutiae that inspires most of the questions people need answered including: Dive Skills, Dive Gear, Exposure Protection, Clothing, Note on Packing and Of Note (details that are usually skipped elsewhere).

Excellent information! Very thorough. True on all aspects of what I discovered when I was there last summer. For exposure protection I wore a drysuit,... & though it kept me warm & toasty, it was a pain in the butt in the currents, as it tended to act like a sail. The only other thing that I would add is if in Quito, altitude sickness can be a problem for some. I know most of our group struggled with it. Overall Kudos!

Thanks for the links - your site has so much useful info!
