Hi.

I understand there are a lot of people who prefer the original, black, drycore material that Whites isn't using anymore. I have a size large drycore, but after trying the new material this past weekend, strongly prefer the new silver/grey material.

If anyone is interested in a partial exchange, or otherwise acquiring my original-black as a spare or for whatever, please let me know.

The black material is less slippery, but you feel much less squeeze in it and put a lot less air into the suit with it for that reason.

This drycore has a halcyon strreamlined p-valve on the left leg, which I could either leave there or remove and patch.

Hello,

I just wanted to let everyone know that it is true we have switched all Fusion production away from the original black material and the new suits are now grey inside.

The difference in these materials is like night and day. The original black material felt sticky to touch and was therefore more difficult to get in and out of. The new grey interior is much easier to get into as it dosen't have that same sticky feeling inside.

I would like to point out that there is absolutely no difference in the associated "squeeze" of the Drsyuit or the amount of air needed in the suit to offset this squeeze. The inner core is still made of the same 200 Bilam material, and is the exact same thickness as the original.

Cheers,

Justin Balaski

Whether it's because of the slipperiness or not, I did find myself adding more air with the new material. Dive right in scuba mentioned to me yesterday having the same experience and preferring the old material for that reason. A matter of taste, I guess, and my preference is the newer.
