dimensional analysis r3wl3z
Yeah, that...

-What??? Dim-who-sional whatzitmacaliit???

Well, whatever. I'll go along with Mister C.
Charlie99:
Equations like this are much easier to remember and use if, instead of trying to memorize specific equations, that you look at the underlying reasoning for the equation, and if you understand how the equation is derived.

Given this equation (Newton's Law of Gravity):

F = G m1 m2 / r^2

And with m1 and m2 in kg, r in m, and F in newtons (kg m / s^2), then what must be the units of G?

...

Now if you are trying to figure out how many cu ft there are in 1000 psi in double-130s (260 cu ft @ 3600 psi):

X cu ft = ( constant ) ( 1000 psi )

What units must the constant have? Given you must have those units, what numbers make sense?

The only part I understand is the bolded letters.

Notice what it spells?? :D

Something tells me you got high marks for creativity in math! :D
If you'll look at his equation, the letter before it is "R". It says, R Inman. You see, Newton's laws has caused a collapse within itself into a universe in which I reside in the center.

Try adding that into your sac rate.

duuude.... its all connected...

Yeah, welcome to the Twillight Zone...

OK, back to lamont's question- I've been waiting patiently to use the spoiler tags :D

units for G are
m^3/(kg s^2)

and the tank constant is
cft/psi and .0722 = 260/3600

do it easy:
units for G are
m^3/(kg s^2)
Whoa, whoa I thought it was
(N m^2)/kg^2

Dude!
you put the parentheses in the wrong place. Try N * (m/kg)^2
but don't worry, it's all good... everyone will know what you meant. :D
