Hi, my brother and I are flying in to Tampa Sept 3-9 and we are interested in getting a full cave cert that week. I'll need a list of cert requirements for the course. I am a DM, but my bro is only OW and Nitrox...obviously, he knows how to dive quite well as we were both OW together 5 years ago and he's been just about everywhere I've been, but no $$ for the certs. Any help in locating the right place, agency, and instructor (right price) would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks, Trey

so, your plan is to take the four classes (cavern, cave 1, cave 2, and full cave)
in one week?

Hey Andy...if it's possible, sure...

Andy, is it possible to take them all in 1 week?

i can recommend Rick Murcar (GDI on here) and Johnny Richards as great instructors. talk to them and see what they can arrange.

both great guys

well, assuming you can do very, very well, yes, i guess you could. you need
a minimum of two days per stage, so that is eight days ...

not sure how instructors feel about this ... someone with more experience should answer

I would STRONGLY recommend you not do this. The Cavern/Intro class might be doable in a week, but what is affectionately known as "zero to hero" courses could be highly problematic.

Call them both and see what they have to say about your idea. I suspect Jim Wyatt of the NACD will be along here soon to offer his feelings.

Well, if not full, I'd at least like to get as much done as possible. The TDI guy I spoke with in Mexico (who shall remain unnamed) said we could knock it out in a week...so I was just going based on that. I dunno all of the requirements...so help is greatly appriciated. We both have experience cavern diving with a full cave DM...

i'd talk to the instructors, see what they can work out

certainly cavern and intro in one week is very doable, if things go well ...

Do you have your gear already? Can light? BP/W? Non-split fins? Reels and spools? Doubles (not required now I guess)? I suspect that could be $2k in gear right there.
