any interest in hooking up?

first dive of the season for me if it's warm enough....

would like to hook up with someone(s) who know the area well...i've only done a quickie (someone at OSS sent me to “Pebble Cove”...could that be right?) last year...

there's another site over in Newport by the piers or something like that???

We did Pebble Cove (at least I am pretty sure that is where we ended up) in Oct for the Pumpkin Dive because it was a bad weather day and that was sheltered and flat. I ended up snorkeling because of an equipment issue but it was just a sandy bottom. Ft. Wetherill is much, much better on the other side.
A nice cove - actually 2 coves adjoined by one parking lot.

Many divers though.

Either entrance is nice, although the one to the left seems calmer from my experiences there. The cove on the right has a nice boat ramp entrance, the one on the left is slippery rocks but not too bad.

My buddy is going away to National Guard drill in NY so I will be without buddy and I dont' have a flag yet. You have a flag? Need a buddy? I'll bring my kayak as well. (No, its not a dive kayak)

hiya, there...thought you might be up for it...

yes, i've a flag!!!
wanna tow it??

think we can manage to do 2 tanks in the cold h2o???
high tide is at 8:45 am so wanna say 9am up there???

you know that we both dive wet so going from my last year's dives in sept (cape Ann) when the h2o was 62 degrees...the dives won't be so long, especially the second one!

yes, it was sandy at Pebble Cove....we did the sides after a while and it got a little more interesting....but pretty shallow, even at high tide...twentysomething feet if I remember correctly...OSS doesn't seem to have an OW class that weekend, so maybe it won't be too crowded

Maybe we could hook up for a quick breakfast somewhere.

Shellbird? You sure about the pumpkin dive being at Pebble? I'm pretty certain it was Potter Cove. Unless both are one and the same...

In any case, would've loved to join you, but I'll be pounding 'em down in London that weekend :coke:

I might be looking to do a night dive, though, the week after the memorial day. We'll see.

but they sound like the same place all shallow and sandy. I have been misspelling, and making a bunch of errors lately so just disreagard everything I say!!!

and drink a pint or two for me!!! or take me with you!!! even better!

shellbird once bubbled...
and drink a pint or two for me!!! or take me with you!!! even better!

Oh no, you don't! You're getting in the water, missy! No excuses! :)
