@VsubT and I got to dive with Captain John and DM Josh from Hydrotherapy on Saturday.

There were a bunch of foreign students together on board and communicating in their own language so to keep it simple @VsubT recommended we team up with the only remaining folks on board (a couple) and he dragged the flag. The couple was from Tampa and the craziest thing - we live in contiguous neighborhoods in Tampa. Small world!

Anyways, we dived Qualmann’s Barge where we saw a GG, a friendly school of Atlantic Spadefish, a green Moray and a couple of lobster. @VsubT has a radar for lobster and I think he saw a few more than me.

Second drop was Pompano Reef and it was a pleasant stroll through the garden.

I think the deepest we got was about 15m so it was one of those dives where you just want to keep going and going.

1.5mm WS, viz was good but a tad snowy and the current was consistent to keep one moving but pleasantly mild.

Captain John and DM Josh did a great job.

@LandonL - thanks for starting Hydrotherapy!

Deep wreck this coming Sunday with Hydrotherapy.

Hoping Captain John and dry DM Josh are crewing again.

Breakfast pastries at 07:00 for initial manifest check in. Crew eats first.

We went out the Port Everglades Inlet for some lobstering and spearfishing on Sunday. There was a lot of boat traffic! We easily limited the boat. I also shot a mutton snapper and a small yellow jack. Additionally, pole speared a nice size lionfish.

Nice to see the bugs bunched up. Pinpoint head shot on the mutt and beautiful viz !!

Dove out the Port Everglades Inlet on Saturday. We were expecting 2.7ft @ 6 to 7 seconds. The surface was choppy in the morning and developed into 3-4ft seas in the afternoon. Visibility was maybe 25ft. We were able to find lobsters at a certain depth and quickly limited. We didn't have a lot of luck spearfishing. We saw a few nice muttons, but they didn't want to be dinner. One person did land a nice 28" red grouper. We also speared a lot of lionfish.

Whats the word on the visibility down around Pompano? I'm looking to freedive/spearfish around LBTS and curious if the viz will support it.
