Come down to Miami for a weekend and see (or should I say SEA) South Beach Divers. They use RJ Diving Ventures' boat and are a fantastic operation. The guys at South Beach divers are awesome. If you can not make it to Dade county then I would suggest DixieDivers in Broward. www.dixiediver.com.

I recommend South Beach Divers not only for RJ's boat but you can have a kick arse time on Ocean Drive after your dives.

    additional info:

I travel to Ft. Lauderdale about 1/mo on business. I have someone to dive with once I get my C-card. I'd like to plan on flying in on a friday, OW on sat/sun.

I guess Miami wouldn't be out of the question.

I'd need to rent equip, suit. I have MFS and 3mm vest. (I'm thinking about a 3mm suit too)

thanks for your input so far. giving it a day or two more to see what comes up. :)

These guys will take great care of you: http://www.scuba-school.com/
They are located just off Fort Lauderdale Beach and are a PADI 5-Star shop.
