D. behrensi - this is my fav shot of the trip, and maybe my fav Nudi shot of 2008. Sometimes you get lucky, and this guy was performing. I cracked off about 15 shots on him. I like this one the best.

Ken communicates very calmly underwater, as a rule.

This time? Oh. My. Gosh.
He was so excited as he signalled me I actually thought something was wrong. :scared:

His urgency was emphatic as he waved me over... and pointed at a very small white oval... on a kelp frond... between two boulders! How did he even SEE it?!?!?
He was pointing energetically and signalling... "THREE!!!"


I could only see ONE white nudibranch.... huh????


Then I recognized it: D. behrensi. Very Rare.
Ken and I have seen it only..... (you guessed it).... THREE times in 425 dives together.

So, there you have it.
The Photographer found it.

And then turned it into art.
It's how he rolls.

Ken buries me under an avalanche of credit, Kevin... I get embarrassed sometimes as he pours it on so genuinely. In his several 'Branch Of the Week narratives, I've been permanently glossed "Professional Nudi Spotter". It makes me smile, because we have fun and both LOVE finding these beauties.
