My husband and I took a freediving class from David Laird through Wallins Dive Center in San Carlos yesterday. If you're interested at all in freediving, spearfishing or abalone diving I recommend taking this class. Freediving is quite different from SCUBA in technique (surface dives, finning, etc.), gear, and safety considerations. We learned a lot and felt the class was well worth the trip from Napa.
