It is a good deal. While nitrox is wonderful about extending bottom time on square bottom wreck profiles in NC, Florida, etc., I never saw the appeal on multi-level Coz reef dives, but if it's free - sure, I got the card. It's usually an extra $10/dive in Coz.

The more multi the level, the bigger the need. Many, many moons ago, DAN suggested that if you were over 40, you should be diving it whenever possible. I've dove NitrOx in pools.

Are you an air hog, Don? Maybe it's because I dive with two Suuntos, but by day 2 in Cozumel, I'm NDL limited, not air time limited, if I'm not on Nitrox. I would run out of NDL time long before I got through a 120 of air anywhere other than Colombia Shallows or Paradise. (And I'm not sure I would want to spend the 2.5 hours a 120 would give me at either of those locations, anyway).

This is very true. If you’re diving AL 80s on a multi-level dive, remaining bottom time will probably be similarly limited by remaining gas with air or EANx. With significantly more gas, you will really be able to take advantage of the extended bottom time with EANx. The only time I dive air with Aldora is using the little steel 80s for 11 fsw shore dives at the Villa.

And then there's the rest of it. I feel any DC that restricts you more than Padi tables to using fear based marketing. And they cost more than Oceanic DCs, don't they?

But this special is nice. I normally dive 100 cf air tanks for $90/trip before discounts, and this special gives you 120s of nitrox for $95/trip. Nice.

You can use a 36% mix in steel mini in front of the Villa and do a four hour safety stop the last afternoon, the last day, of your super saturated dive trip of 90 + minute dives. Max depth was 13-14 feet, chest in the sand. Call the shop. I got to warn ya though, non diving wife will be PO'ed and your diving buddies may moon you when they snorkel by wondering what you are looking at. I have a picture of the full moon somewhere... Hard to really laugh that hard through a reg.

Where are you, @Prop Joe?!? I could use a four hour safety stop. Did a short dive of 90 minutes and a normal one of 125 today. Neither was at Colombia Shallows or Paradise, as you’d guess.
We’d also find great stuff in that four hours. Need to send you some pics from the past couple of weeks...
