Fred Bavendam?

Does anybody around here know or have you ever met or seen Fred Bavendam? I have his "Beneath Cold Waters; The Marine Life of New England" book. I ADORE the book and I've had it since I was like 12 and I was just wondering if he was still around. There is a picture of him on the back with his gear and camera and he seems to be wearing a unisuit!:11: I still really admire his work anyway.
