me and "bcyber" Dave dove on the Ewa Pinnacles on Sunday morning..
sea-state was flat after the low-pressure system moved on
and the sun came out .. nize day, good viz too :D

well.. as we descended.. bcyber was making sure the anchor was set..
and almost bumped into the first of over a dozen eels we saw that day.

then, as we passed eels #2 and #3.. lol.. we saw that someone fixed the chain mooring.. and the ball was floating again at 15fsw.. oh well.

back next to the shoal (sand runway that runs between this reef and the next)
where the garden eels live.. is a large overhang..
and sometimes there's one or two sharks there.
but that day.. as i peeked below the ledge, i signed to bcyber, "one shark"..
then i changed my signal to, "two sharks"..
as i progressed under the overhang.. i changed the signal again to, "three sharks"..
and as my eyes adjusted to the dark.. i finally signed, "FOUR SHARKS!!!"

after that.. that's all she wrote.. fantastic day of diving!

oh.. here's bcyber in disbelief :11:

Make that FIVE SHARKS !!!!!

today.. me and Lonnie dove E-beach.. it was nize and flat and viz was phenomenal!
first.. here's the slideshow..

Sharpcast Slideshow

first dive we decided to go to the north shark-cave..
our entry greeted us with a rather large Eagle Ray!
within the north shark-cave we found a lone White-Tip..
the lightest/whitest one i've seen..
we also saw a big Thornback Cowfish and a ton of Humpback Cowries..

second dive Lonnie pulled out "Ye Ol' Shorediving Book" =)
and we decided to walk down to the south entry at Kahe Point down the cliff..
just after our rocky entry.. we found the 5-door south-shark-cave..
and in it.. FIVE Sharks !!!!!
(tho' i missed the money-shot with 5-sharks in a single frame [due to cycle time =(],
Lonnie can verify the 5th shark.. he eventually settled in the back corner of the cave)
thanks for a couple great dives Lonnie!

oh.. and here's the video..
