Sharkbaite is trying for his. But it will be fun. Rescue divers get to experience the "dunk tank" with the racers this year.:D

Brian will be out there.. I'll comandeer his boat if needs be! Ya reading this Bri?? Hmm?? :D

The year I was a rescue diver for the races, they told us we'd get training in the dunk tank. I took off work early on the appointed day. It never happened.

Sounds like a great way to get front row seats. Having dove with several of you, I know that you could certainly get into that tangled mess of wiring, lines, splintered up boat and fuel. Then release the eight way harness, untangle the driver, navigator, and throttlemen from the lead wires of thier headsets and swim them out to safety.

I "ran around with" a national champion race crew in 90~94 ish and those boats do not simply wipe out and all is good. At 140+ the water makes that boat shred like it hit the pier.

If you volunteer take it seriously, work in teams and have a plan for extraction. Other than that watch the post race activities.. it is really amazing what you can buy with money, not you and I money.. but the owner of reebok money. The owners of OceanSpray Juice that sort of crowd amazing.
