just got back from fort bragg. went abolone diving with a few people. the water was pretty rough but were able to find tons of ab at the cove to the left of the gulch. it was a hellish climb up and down but the ab was plentiful and all the ones we saw were at least 8 in.

vis was around 4 ft or so but we were only in about 10-15 feet of water. i did get a little sea sick :) from the surge but the ab made up for it. if you make it up there check the spot out and be careful on the climb down

sounds like you were at jack peters gulch, just south of R.G. state park? it's aven more fun when the vis is better. ken

yea it was just south of the main park there. we had to scale down some ropes to get to the place. it was a great spot. no one was there except a couple rock pickers. maybe everyone thought it would have been too rough. none the less good abs

dive wise...the nicest thing about Bragg is you are only two hours away from the coast.

Hey Rich... I don't think he's talking about that Ft. Bragg... :D

That Ft. Bragg (i.e., Fayetteville) is where I learned to dive, though... and your avatar both gets my blood going, and gives me the willies at the same time... :D
