In my opinion, they should offer helicopter fly by's over the Blue Hole so you can say you saw it and take pics of it. The girls that did the dive, said they never "saw" the blue hole as my icon shows it b/c they were on the surface and it wasn't "awe inspiring" .

You can def see the Blue Hole when you are inside of it. It's not "awe inspiring" but you know you are there when you get there. You can get some good pics if you stand on top of the boat. However, when you are in it there is no doubt whatsoever that you are in the Blue Hole. Swimming through the stalagtites/mites was definitely a worthwhile experience. The dive is great and the two dives you do afterward (half moon caye and the aquarium) make the trip worth it anyway. Win-win in my opinion (which is that of a new diver).

Yeah, it's a rewarding adventure, albeit somewhat overrated and too available to newbies - still a good day trip with all you mentioned, plus lunch in the caye and the booby birds.

I remember coming back on the hard, three hour crossing in the worst boat I've ever dived from much less crossed a channel in still saying out loud: "Damn ain't nothing like a dive trip," in a manner that indicated a fun adventure with a lousy operator. ;)

Hey DandyDon,

Just so you know Aqua Dives got a new 52 footer to make the trips to the Blue Hole and the other Tuneffe Trips. I spent a week with Aqua Dives and had a blast, and so did the other 25 people I took with me to Belize.

I just dove it with ADM last Wednesday (6/7) and I must say their op is phenomenal, their DMs are terrific, and they made my day a wonderful memory. We have some pretty pics from our Ble Hole dive, and AMAZING pics from the Half Moon Caye and Aquarium divesites. I personally loved the entire day...even though I despise boat rides. So many others have told me to assume it'll be a throw away dive. Since I went into it with no expectations, I had the most amazing fun time. Anyone that feels they are qualified and curious GO GO GO.....I can't say enough great things about ADM...expecially Mike, Enrique, Juan, and Willito. We dove the Blue Hole with 2 groups of 10 and 2 DM with each...one leading and one following up the tail.
The briefing is a little "strict" sounding, but ultimately they cater to our having fun and work to make every aspect of the trip GREAT!!!!!
