The Extra Force Fin was the first to use Vortex Generators. Patented at the time. Found some drawings I did before mounting cones. shaped dots on the back side.1998.

I follow nature and it's design. A good example is the lobster tail. Anyone who has hunted Lobsters

knows how fast they can swim with that flapping tail. Saw this model in Flordia and had to stop and think.
 
After the Extra Force Fin I also placed the Vortex Generator on the Excellerating Fore Fin. Again Bob Kirby walked into the 28 Anacapa workshop and watched me place the Vortex cones. He said you want it to look good or do something as he placed

three cones on the backside end. I did the ones below the foot section. The photo shows a model with extra backside ribbing. Shaped down over seral models.
