Going to stay at Wyndham via a package with Stuart Cove Nov 7-12. Would like some recommendations for food establishments. Don't need upscale just "safe" (I've had the intestinal thing one tooo many times on the islands) and close by so we spend less money on food and cabs and more on DIVING!!!! I don't care if we eat pizza every night.
Thanks, THE COUNT DOWN BEGINS!!

hi JillGadget,
We've stayed at the Wyndham (in Cable Beach, outside of Nassau; 30 mins. from Stuart Cove's shop) a few times. We are not adventurous eaters, don't like/ can't tolerate spicy food, and have some seafood allergies. (In other words, we are boring vacation eaters.)
Given what you've described here are 3 suggestions, in the order that we enjoyed them. (All 3 are inside the Wyndham-so thats' $0.00 for cabs!!)
1) "the Deli"-has a small but varied selection of cooked food, in addition to burgers, hot/cold sandwiches, and
pizza, etc. It is located just off the casino floor. it is set up cafeteria-style, with a serving line, but there are waiters who, at least at dinner, will lead you to a table, and bring you your order once it is ready.'
It is very low key, plastic plates, utensils-possibly too informal for some, but we liked it.
2) I don't recall the name, but it is located in the main tower, at the foot of the escalators-it has icecream, sandwiches, wraps, and some hot food.
3) the buffet-also located off the casino has, as you would guess, a buffet!
It is open for breakfast and dinner. We liked breakfast there more than we liked dinner.
(The "lower mark" for dinner was based on selection of food we would/could eat, rather than quality.) One night, during the week we were there, they moved the dinner buffet out to the beach, and offer a seafood-heavy menu. I don't know if that is a regular thing or not.
In our week there, last August, I think we ate dinner once at the buffet, once at the "icecream place", and five nights at "the deli".
enjoy your trip
Mike
