When you pay $49.95 (or whatever) to go out on a two tank dive and actually complete the dives.

Is this trip considered one dive or two dives? And do you log it as one or two?

Think back to your tables and logs you learned in OW... Dive 1 - get in, do your dive. Surface interval... Dive 2 - get in and do another dive.

2 logs, 2 dives

It's your log book. If you want to log them as 2 then do it. I would log it as 2 dives if the surface interval was 10 minutes or greater (standard on the tables and most computers).

Dan..I did a cleanup dive this summer...after looking at my computer, I decided to log this as 1 dive. It wasn't that impressive of a dive, but it sure looks cool in the logbook:mean:

Depth 16'
Bottom Time - 4 min
SI - 16 min
Depth 15'
ABT - 10 min
SI - 12 min
Depth 19'
ABT - 16 min

...and it was good practice on the tables too!!!
