rarely have i seen any macro life at folly....i much prefer heading to hampton beach for that kind of life

Might have to do with your style of diving. I guess swimming around Folley with a pair of doubles hitting every rock in the way looking to reach 30 ft of depth might prevent you from checking out the macro life ?
I'll refer you to this year's Boston Rover presentation on unknown NE dive site that mentioned Folly Cove as a great destination for macro photography with amazing pictures to prove it.
