Flying with my BCD?

It's my first time flying with my new dive equiment. I plan on putting my BCD, reg, and computer in my carry-on. Do I need to do anything special to my BCD so it doesn't over-inflate with the pressure change while flying. I keep picturing the bags of potato chips that the flight attendants pass out that are ready to burst becasue of the pressure change. I don't want that to be my new BCD. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Don't worry just let out as much air as you can when you pack it.
I put my BC in checked bagage wrapped in wetsuit between my fins. reg and computer I carry on unless I am carying my camera then the regs have to go in checked bags.

Don't fly with your BCD inflated. But if you do, you still do not need to worry as it has a pressure relief valve, since the pressure changes from -50msw to 0msw are significantly more extreme than from 1ATA on the ground to whatever level the cockpit is pressurised to.

First empty your BCD. Second, air pressure in an aircraft is only about 1/2 atmosphers lower than sea level. Thirdly, your BCD has pressure relief valves so it can't overinflate if they are operating correctly.

Don't sweat it. All will be okie dokie.

As Del Mo has said, I would be very surprised if anything happened to you BCD

After many, many similar threads- I've always wanted to pull that line.

Another angle: Why carry-on your regs and bc at all? Check them. I have put them in checked bags a hundred+ times. Never a problem.

Ditto. Check the stuff and be done with it. For peace of mind, if you want to carry your reg and computer, go for it. Checking my gear has never been a problem.
