well , I sort of figure that It might create a problem. Im just taking my regular light.I bought the cannister light to use on the wrecks here in Miami so no big deal.the last thing I need is to make a choice of not flying or throwing it in the garbage.
thanks

I have to say that, although I don't carry on my batteries, I have had problems with them being picked up on x-ray. The Airspeed Press labels have saved the day more than once.

Sartek supplies Product data sheets and Battery Material Safety information to their customers so that it can be packed with the light system so that any luggage inspector will know what the product is and that it meets Airline Safety Regulations, as well as, containing manufacturer contact information in case there are other questions.

Thanks... Great info for Sartek customer....

I don't see those on the airspeed press website... source?

I might be flying with my HID soon (wishful thinking?), so I'd like to get one of these labels. :)

I could never find a link to them on the page. had to do a google search.

I did accidentally carry on my battery today SEA-LAX, and passed through no worries except they tested it for explosives.

Im going to take my cannister light with my carrion luggage. has anyone travel with them on the plane ? I take my BP/W and regs with me as carrion on the plane on diving trips but the cannister battery looks like a bomb.I dont anticipate any problems taking it with me on the plane but just wondering if anyone else has flown with them.

I always carry it with me onto the plane. I have been stop a few times but when I explain it to the security staffs, they just let me through......................

If your canister comes with a manual, I would suggest you have it in together with the light just in case they wonder...........................

well , I just got back from the Bahamas and took it with me on carry on with no problem. they just swiped it for explosive and ask about it , same with my buddy .
