I am thinking about diving in June in the Upper Keys - Key Largo, Tavernier, Islamorada. I normally go out with Conch Republic but I was concerned about the vis as I have seen a report on the news about an algae bloom in the upper keys. What says the local experts?

Not to worry, they're monitoring a possible bloom in Florida Bay but IMO, it'll have little effect on viz on the wrecks and reefs most charters run to.

The real effect occurs to the fish down the road due to the interrupted reproductive cycle that occurs in the estuary.

Viz a couple of days ago,100ft duane
