My little sister got a waitress job for one of the smaller restaurants at Terranea. She had orientation for the last two weeks and yesterday was her first day serving drinks to the "soft opening" guests. As far as she knows the grand opening to the public is still the 12th. Did you hear from the higher ups that this has changed?

Glad your camera is still working! Too bad it flooded in the first place....hopefully cleaning out the sand will get it back in good shape and you don't have to do anything major.
I'm curious about parking as well....same place off Seawolf Dr or somewhere else? Looking forward to diving Marineland again....glad I got my cold/allergies thing out of the way last weekend!

Dave, I forgot to clean the O-ring after my last dive. It had a LOT of sand.
That reminds me of the time I forgot....never mind, just know I've BTDT.

Drive into the main gate, tell the guard you are for scuba and park in front of the casitas to the left of the hotel. Once the resort opens the public parking will be about fifty feet back, in the first lot on the left of the main entrance.I'm curious about parking as well....same place off Seawolf Dr or somewhere else? The walk is about half of what it was from Seawolf, and about the same as it was from the original parking lot from 1987 until 2007.

We were talking to two of the chefs. They said there is another soft opening next weekend, then the official opening on Monday. I don't know if that is accurate or not, but I hate packing gear and being turned away on Saturdays.
