I read on the website of a liveaboard that I am considering (the Aqua) that guests should not bring external camera flashes because the Galapagos does not permit flash photography of wildlife. If this is true, does it also apply to underwater photography, or only to land photography (the liveaboard in question also does land wildlife tours). Those of you photographers that have been on Galapagos liveaboard trips, have you encountered any boat or national park policy issues using strobes or video lights during dives?

Definitely does not apply to underwater photography.
