fish with blue eye ring

OK, here's one for you...

• small 4" elongated oval body (wrasse?)
• reddish brown with many lighter stripes along body
• plain brownish fins
• small group in the shade of a small branching coral outcrop
• deep blue ring around the eye which caught the light
• seen on Agincourt Reef, GBR around lunchtime

any suggestions much appreciated!

got one thanks but didn't have it with me - I was on a ReefCheck training course dive and had enough things to worry about. Probably shouldn't have even been looking at the fish...
