Hey team

Managed to yank my computer coming out of my sidekick just a little too hard recently and messed up the thread on the gland where it exits the unit.

I have been kindly sent a new gland, but also the resin sealing the wire pairs coming out of the cable sheath is a little ratty.

What resin are people using when tidying this up? I have been suggested Multibond SMX25

What glands are people using? I will need to buy another spare having been sent one :)

Hummel glands, availble from most electronics parts suppliers.
Not aware of any extra resin on the cables, usually a bit of rtv on the threads
