I recently had my first warm water dive experience!

I dove off of Kona and holy poop, it is completely different than New England diving...

Vis at both sites was basically as far as the eye can see. Water temp hovered around 78F, and the diving was fantastic.

2 dives:

Dive 1:
44ft max
78F
58 minute dive.

Dive 2:
49ft max
79F
64 minute dive.

Absolutely fantastic. Went to the dive sites known as "Freeze face" and "Turtle Heaven? Ledge?"

Definitely a great first experience!

Sounds great Colin CB. It does add some perspective to dive in different conditions.

Locally visibility is also as far as the eye can see. :)

Definitely a weird thing to dive in such clear water....not used to it. Used to cold water running down my back when I get in.

Going from the HAAABAH to crazy vis is pretty awsome, also going from 7MM in the summer to 3MM year round is great...but the lack of LOBSTAH and WAAF sux

laytahs
