First time to Vancouver in july, any advice/must see?

I'll be there for 2 weeks somewhere between first week of july to 2nd week of august (to be decided, is there a big change in visibility?). Staying with a friend so hotel is not an issue.

I'm currently taking my dry suit class and figured I would rent one there. Any advice on where to dive would be appreciated. For the equipment I think I'll bring everything except for the tank and wetsuit but I never air travelled with my gear.

Vis will possibly be poor above 40ft due to algee blooms. Whitecliff or Porteau Cove wrecks would be best. Lots of places to rent gear here.
