My buddy and I are both certified and have made around 10 dives off our boat in San Diego. I have at least 700 minutes of bottom time from other various dives. However, neither of us have been night diving, let alone for lobster.

We finally geared up for lobster and are going out soon for our first trip. Should we shore dive it for our first time or just go boat?

Any advice on spacing, light handling, procedure, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I have a UK D8 light btw.

Thanks
