does anybody know if Olympus gonna actually release a higher than 2gb of XD card? by the way for 1gb , how many raw pictures can u take?

at 11 megs each about 90 I guess?
i came home with about 108 pictures or so
after it filled up I deleted a couple of the crappier raw images and shot in jpeg for a while

According to the camera, 86. When you turn on the camera in RAW setting, it will show at the lower right of the screen your remaining shots. If I shoot a lot on a dive, and I'm starting to get down to the bitter end with some bottom time left, I'll switch the camera over to SHQ and usually get 15 or 20 more shots. A gig is good for 186 shots on SHQ or over 500 on HQ.

yea 86 sounds right
I'm sure there's some overhead with whatever file system they use to format the card
