Planning on going in late February to early March and would like to find a operator that does dives other than morning. I will be with my 14 year old that dives. We would like to do earlier morning dives and some mid day dives to sleep in some mornings. We are thinking of staying two weeks . I have just started researching the area and where to stay. Any suggestions are welcome.

Blue Angel has both early boat and a later boat every day. It's a resort with an on site dive operator. A couple of days I took the later boat so I could sleep in. They are a reasonable choice and would fit your needs.

I second Blue Angel, but the week we were there, I did not see any young people so not sure your son would find any friends to hang with at pool.

I would classify Blue Angel as a small hotel...not a resort.

Here's a list of shops that offer afternoon trips. There are quite possibly more:

Alex Scuba
Aquatic Sports
Blue Angel
Blue Magic
Deep Blue
Dive Paradise
Dive With Martin
Blue Project
Opals Dream
Panchos Diving Adventures
Studio Blue
Scuba Shack
Tres Pelicanos
Eco Divers (But you dive the clock, not your air).

Aldora does too. Also night dives.

Any one of these operators might be better with 14 year old? We just got back from Bonaire and had a great time. Anyone of the above on site operator with rooms? I will start looking at each now.

Is Opal's Dream still operating? It changed a lot without Opal. I finally moved on.

Most Cozumel DMs are just great and will be glad to help more on request. I usually tip $15 on a 2-tank trip, per person, but making that $20 may help more.

Cozumel drift diving is great, but different. Do hire a private DM for the first day.

High time... One of the busiest times of the year.
You can call, but we generally book almost a year in advance. Eight boats with multiple trips:
ALDORA DIVERS
Villa is nice, right on the water:
ALDORA VILLA
They do "Express" dives in the afternoon if there is demand (close to the Villa, one tank dives).
Twilight double headers on Wednesday and Saturday's...
