Is Opal's Dream still operating? It changed a lot without Opal. I finally moved on.

Most Cozumel DMs are just great and will be glad to help more on request. I usually tip $15 on a 2-tank trip, per person, but making that $20 may help more.

Cozumel drift diving is great, but different. Do hire a private DM for the first day.

Yes, as they had a positive review posted on TA last week. The reviewer was complimentary of Ishi and Julio. We moved on too. Never dove with Ishi, but I think I would enjoy diving with him. Have dove with Julio.

Imho, the problem there is not with the DM's or captains. A shame, really.

I would classify Blue Angel as a small hotel...not a resort.

Yes, it's small, but it's official name is "Blue Angel Resort".

it may not be large, but it has just about everything the larger "resorts" can offer. 4 stories, 22 Large rooms, all facing the pool & ocean. 2nd floor up has private balconies, 1st floor rooms are walk-outs to the pool & lobby areas. and a lot more personalized attention than you would get at a large resort.

A 5-star PADI dive op & school, with "fast boats" (pangas) as well as larger "cabin cruiser" boats for larger groups. Morning, afternoon, twilight & night dives all offered, as well as one of the best shore dives on the island. Equipment rental and valet services available as well as certification instruction.

They have their own, very good, restaurant, open all day; breakfast (included on dive days), lunch, happy hour and dinner.

no real beach to speak of, but a nice pool and pool area, usually with plenty of seats/lounges. wi-fi in the lobby that reaches most rooms.

Phylica... Dive op recommendations will depend on where you are staying. Are you planning to stay in-town or at one of those distant all-inclusives?

Thank you. I will hire a dm for the first day with her

I haven't decided yet/ Just started to look at the options. I see in town is better for walking around but further to the dive sites. and South appears better for shorter boat rides. We would like to stay two weeks so maybe split the two or stay in one area for price. If we stay for two weeks I need to spread the cost out .Any thoughts are welcome with places to stay. We stay in Bonaire and loved the ease of just walking out of room to pier and getting on the boat and be able to leave dive equipment in locker when we got back, very easy with Rachel my 14 year old.It will be just her and I . Her dad cant come.
