Looking forward to buy a new first stage, seen many reviews and comp chard between regs, but then many disagree on one another:06: :06: , then then by prefference, which regs you recomend? I'm diving mainly in tropical water and plannig to go pro (not exactly, but then MD is almost there I think)......:07:

Scubapro MK17 diaphragm or Scubapro MK25 piston. The Zeagle Flathead VI is also a great diaphragm reg, just a little larger and heavier, but built tough. There are many nice ones out there, but these are the ones I have experience with. You will get a lot of opinions.

Good luck!

Well,

You are probably going to get the standard answers:

1. ScubaPro Mk25/Mk17
2. Apeks DS4/ATX100/ATX200
3. Zeagle Flathead/Envoy
4. Mares Abyss
5. The usual one or two Posieden recommendations
6. Maybe a recommendation on a Dive Rite
7. Maybe a few Sherwoods in there too

In truth, all these will work great. As will nearly any top class reg. You have to look at where you will get it serviced, or if you will do it yourself. What warranty is available. Do you want a swivel or not. Because they will ALL breathe like champs at recreational depths, and most will continue to breathe well beyond that.

Final answer? Yeap!

mk 25 s600, tough to beat. I have a couple of them and I dont plan on changing up the rotation.

NarcosicDiver:
Scuba Pro is super expensive here in Malaysia, any comment on Aqualung Legend / LX

SP is super cheap from Diveinn:D

Where's DiveInn? An internet store?

And actually, I've been asking among stores, most said if I plug an wireless transitter on the HP hole, the other hose below it still can be connected, but from the way I look at it, seem that most transmitter will block the other LP hose below or beside it.

I looked into these once, before I went another direction. (I have a Vytec but without the transmitter.) There may be enough room depending on how the transmitter unit is beveled and how the ports are arranged on the first stage.

The problem is that, eventually, some guy in a hurry is going to pick up the whole rig by that transmitter. The other option I've seen pictures of would be to connect a 6-inch HP hose to the first stage and then mount the transmitter to that, you could even bungee it to your BC inflator hose to keep it from flopping around. Probably will need a HP spool, too.
