I am trying to identify a HP diapragm. It is dark grey, fiber reinforced, .046 thick + or-and 1.5 diameter. I am thinking that it might be APEKs or atomic but I am not sure. My reason for trying to identify this item is that they are perfect to use for Dacor replacements after I reduce the size with a 1 3/8 gasket cutter. If anyone is familiar with these parts, please post a reply and a possible source for 100 of these diaphragms. Scott:coffee:

Atomic regs are all balanced piston as far as every one I have ever worked on. They do not have a diaphragm, just O-rings, an HP seat, etc.

If you need a source for HP diaphragms I can get you FDA approved silicone ones, they are what I use for the vintage US Divers single hose regulator rebuild kits I sell. They have a better IP response than the older style rubber ones. PM if interested.

Older Apeks and Zeagle first stages use a grey, fiber reinforced diaphragm; it may be for them. I am totally unaware of the dimensions of these diaphragms, so I can't help you there. Yours could also be an Aqualung diaphragm--I am pretty sure they're light grey in color. I'm doing this from memory, so I could be wrong.

Apeks sold part of their line to Zeagle years ago and those two regs use interchangeable parts. Later on, Zeagle redesigned their line and the new parts are not interchangeable with the older parts.
