First Scuba Cylinder Question

The only real consideration when choosing between a neutral or standard AL80 is the price of the four pounds or so of negative bouyancy. If the spread between the two tanks is less than the price of a comparable amount of lead, go with the NB cylinder.

NB tanks aren't acceptable for deco/stage bottles but for single tank recreational diving they work well.
 
Go HP Steel and depending on your height determine the tank size you want. You may kill two birds with one stone, reduce your belt weight and assist your trim. I'm six two and a HP 120 does great with assisting trim. If you are shorter, go with a HP 80 or 100, taller, look at a HP 130. It isn't always necessary or advised to fill to the maximum pressure. Save your equipment and extend your tank life by only filling to low levels or max. of 3300 and save complete fills to occasions when you really need bottom time.
