Had an appointment with the Mighty Mo today and he did not disapoint! We dove a large eddy just south of Hardy Creek between Great Falls and Helena. Vis was about 10 ft, water temp 70 degrees. This area is a popular cliff jumping spot so we found quite a few trinkets and saw a bunch of very nice sized crayfish. Must come back with a trap or a treasure bag at least. Very cool spot and only 35 min from town.

I have yet to do a river dive, but they intrigue me. Did you drift it, or try to get back to your point of entry?

Cool! :thumb: I did a few dives in the Saint Lawrence one trip, taking a boat out of the Ontario side in the Thousand Islands area. We had to listen for freighters and were told to just hold onto whatever wreck we were on if we heard one: Boom Boom Boom - but never had to.

I have done a dive or two on the Savannah River In Augusta Georgia. 1-1/2 hr drift dive Did some treasure hunting . Checked out a 1920's to 1930' barge that was sunk. viz for most of dive was 30' temps low to mid 70's* River dive can be really fun dives

No drift. We had an eddy under a tall cliff to work with. You get into the main channel and you are along for the ride for at lest 1/4 of a mile. This was a completely new dive for me. Did not have a dive light with me which would have helped to look in all the little nooks and crannies. Can't wait to do it again!
