propriety tool.

Is it the tool or is the nut that is "proprietary"?? I think that it is the nut and I want to make the nut a standard nut on ALL regulators of all makes and models!!! A tool for the nut will be very popular and will be a standard costing less than a $1.

we should be proud to own the propriety tool
Just feel and be happy, that's all I ask :)

join the "Fellowship of the Spline".

Darn it, I started a new thread SP G250 jam nut and gave it a mundane title. "Fellowship of the Spline" would have been a more interesting choice.

Quit diving those Sherwoods and get a Scubapro and you too can join the "Fellowship of the Spline".

Among other metal seconds, I do use a couple of 109's I've rebuilt, but those were before the ScubaPro spline of shame.

Speaking of the Spline of Shame, just an FYI, I just found the actual ScubaPro Universal Tool (i.e. spline tool plus a bunch of other stuff) on Amazon. $89.95 and available with Prime shipping.

If you actually need some of the other tools that are built in, it seems like a good deal.

The design of the spline nut began with the adjustment knob of the 156

The splined fitting on the hose yes, but the BA/156 does not have a jam nut. The first jam nut on a SP reg that I remember was on the G250.
