Hi all, just dropping by to say hi. I got my cert. at the Maldives during my honeymoon (Angaga island), and the whole experience was great. I'm also relieved to hear that although Angaga was affected by the Sumatra tsunami, it's doing fine and the resort is open to guests. (unlike other ones in Maldives that are completely ruined)

Anyway, I lived in Tokyo just prior to moving here in Miami.. So as you may be able to guess, I went from a hard to dive place, to an extremely easy to dive place. And as much as I'm trying to get used to living in Miami, I'm on the lookout for people and places to help me get back under the sea.

Also, I'm still a beginner in this as well, but I have a underwater digicam setup with an Olympus 5060WZ and housing.

Howdy!

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!

No experience needed and it feels great!

Welcome to ScubaBoard. Sounds like you've "landed" in a dream dive area... if you can survive Miami!

You have picked a perfect place to find that sort of people. We call ourselves Florida Conch Divers. Check out the forum and give me PM sometime. My wife (baitedstorm) and I would love to dive with you. We dive mostly from Jupiter to Fort Lauderdale. Here is a link to help you.
