:DWell i had to give my new ike housing a swim yesterday, with the 400d and 18-55 kit lens.

My first spot i had hoped to dive just looked dirty and couldn't see the 4 meter bottom from the boat :(.

I decided to head out into the bay a bit to another reef at about 6-7 meters.
It was there or nowhere, so i set anchor and geared up, double checked all my stuff and put the canon in its house for the maiden trip under.

Vis was still bad but i soon had bottom on the decsend and began the dive looking for targets.

Not too many fish targets, but a heap of sponges and sea grasses, a couple of stingrays and plenty of particles.

Here's a couple of shots from the 400d, used auto levels in pscs2 and resized.
Any tips or comments most welcome.

Will be ordering an ike ds125 very soon and hoping for clearer water.

I think they are good. I don't think the viz is all that bad either :D

Shots look good.

Check out reefphoto.com for your strobe.
Thats the cheapest price I could find, $850 for the DS125 kit.
They are very nice people, I ordered my strobe and had it shipped overnight.
Had it in hands the next day, very good company to deal with.
